My Story
I am so thankful that Plexus came into my life when it did! Why? Because my life had drastically changed, and I needed help. Let me explain. For my entire life, even though I knew that I was created in the image and likeness of God, my value and worth came from the number on the scale. Being skinny was all that mattered to me.
Until August 2, 2010 when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. All of a sudden, that number on the scale didn’t mean anything to me. I just wanted to live!
After two brain surgeries and 6 weeks of radiation, I thought that the way that I was feeling was going to be my new normal. Daily headaches, constant fatigue, brain fog, sleepless nights, no energy, overwhelming anxiety, weight gain….I could go on and on. The couch was my happy place and my family just didn’t know what else to do for me.
That’s when my friend Yvonne reached out to me and told me about Plexus and how important it was to have a healthy gut. At this point, I was willing to try anything, so I said a reluctant and skeptical yes!
I had no idea how much my life was about to change! I noticed an increase in energy immediately. I got off the couch and started going for daily walks. I started to notice my brain fog being lifted and I no longer needed the 6-8 Ibuprofen to get through the day. I was sleeping better; I was less anxious, and I could slowly see my weight changing too. (20 pounds!) I had my life back, but most importantly, my family had me back.
Today, I am so thankful that God and Plexus gave me a second chance at life, and I promise to never value being skinny over being healthy ever again! Thank you, God, and Thank you, Plexus!
